how to set a pool filter timer?
I have an standard pool filter timer does anyone knows how to use it? am I supposed to set it at a certain time? and how does it work?

There are different timers assuming it is a dial type. Pull the dial outward toward you and turn it to the current time of day. the indicator is usually in the middle pointing downward. Next you will see a on and off tripper. they usually have a screw. Pliers are some times necessary if they are tight. Slightly unscrew the screw enough to remove it. It is not necessary to take the screw out completely. Put the on tripper on the time you wish it to turn on and tighten it back down. Repeat this for the off button putting it on the time to shut off. If there is no plastic cover be sure to not touch contacts as you could get a shock. Just be careful it is not a big deal. You can manually trip the lever to turn it on or off by moving it from left to right or right to left. That is as long as it is not right near the time to turn on or off. In that case you need to pull the dial outward toward you and turn the dial. If you need more add details. I will check back to edit or e-mail me.
