Hayward Pool Filters offer both in-ground and above ground pool filters, as well as pump systems if need be.

Hayward offers pool filters in the three main types – Sand, DE and Cartridge.

Sand filters are the most popular and the oldest method of filtration.

Water is forced to flow through the sand, which traps dirt and debris.

Hayward has the Pro Series (tm) Top Mount Sand Filter system, which feature a diffuser that distributes the unfiltered water evenly over the sand in the filter (in an umbrella-like pattern.)

The underdrain assembly (which is self cleaning) also allows a balanced and fast flow of cleaned water back into the pool.

Cartridge Filters from Hayward are made of a fiber material which is highly effective in trapping and removing dirt from pool water.

No backwashing is required with cartridge systems, and cartridge filters generally have a larger filtration area.

Both of this means there is less maintenance required and the cartridge does its job for longer.

Hayward supplies the Xstream cartridge filtration system, which has an extra large capacity for debris and a high capacity (quick release) air relief valve.

The Xstream system is created for above ground filtration and has a non-corrosive filter tank.

Hayward also has the Easy Clear and Micro Star Clear systems for above ground cartridge filters, which are great for pools of all sizes.

In-ground cartridge pool filters include the StarClear and the SwimClear, all offering a large filtering area that is actually quite compact and easy to maintain.

Hayward offers Vertical Grid DE Filters for in-ground pools, which include the Perflex and Pro-Grid series.

DE Filters are capable of filtering out dirt particles as small as 3 microns.

Their above ground DE Filters include the Perflex Extended-cycle range, which can remove dirt in the water as small as one micron and can trap algae effectively.

No backwashing is required for this Hayward Pool Filters model as well.
