An American Products Pool Filter Is High Quality And Very Reliable

American Products pool filter focus is specifically on cartridges.

Cartridge pool filters have only recently gained in popularity, but have been around for a long time.

There are many different kinds of cartridge pool filters as well, but the principle remains the same.

Water is passed into the filter tank and forced through the American Products cartridge, which traps the dirt and debris in the water and allows only clean water to pass through back into the pool.

Cartridge filters work very much the same as the filter you may find for your home or kitchen sink.

Generally, cartridge filters come in 300 sq. ft. but they start from 100sqft.

Cartridge filters run in lower pressure than sand filters, and can generally filter out more dirt and material than sand can.

Because of the lower pressure, you get more waterflow for the same pump size you may need for a sand filter.

Cartridges can be disposable or replaceable.

Disposable cartridges need to be replaced more regularly, but don't require cleaning.

They are quite inexpensive as well.

Replaceable cartridges need to be replaced maybe only once every five years, but do need to be cleaned at least once or twice during the swimming season.

Cleaning the cartridge should happen when the pressure is approximately 5psg.

The cartridge cleaning process involves removing the cartridge, washing the excess dirt off (gently – not by hosing) and then soaking the cartridge in a formula over night (or, for 12 hours.)

The next morning, the cartridge must be gently hosed down and replaced back into the tank.

American Products supply many different kind of cartridges for cartridge pool filters.

Cartridges are very convenient when it comes to pool water filtering, but can be pricey depending on the type of product you choose.

American Products pool filter cartridges also come with Reemay (tm) filtration media as the best filtration to use.
